Job Description
ATS is looking for a motivated, dependable individual who wants to build a career in the residential construction and inspection industry.
This is an entry-level field position with a defined path for advancement within ATS. Previous inspection experience is not required. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
The successful candidate will begin as a Tier 1 Inspector , performing Final Grade and Interior/Exterior Elevation inspections for our residential builder clients.

Tier 1 - Final Grade & Interior Elevation Inspector Perform final grade and interior/Exterior elevation inspections while learning ATS field procedures and residential construction fundamentals.
Tier 2 - HERS Rater & IECC Inspector Advance into energy inspections, testing, and residential energy-code compliance.
Tier 3 - MEP & Frame Inspector Progress into advanced Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Framing inspections.
Advancement is based on performance, reliability, technical development, and completion of required training and certifications.
What You'll Do
Your primary responsibility will be performing Final Grade and Interior/Exterior Elevation inspections on newly constructed residential homes.
Final Grade Inspections
• Inspect grading around the home to verify proper drainage away from the foundation.
• Identify improper slopes, low areas, drainage concerns, and other observable deficiencies.
• Photograph and document inspection findings.
• Complete clear and accurate inspection reports.
Interior/Exterior Elevation Inspections
• Use specialized equipment to collect floor-elevation measurements throughout the home as well as exterior grading.
• Accurately record measurements and identify elevation variations.
• Follow established ATS inspection procedures.
• Complete accurate inspection reports and documentation.
Field Responsibilities
• Manage an assigned daily route and complete inspections on schedule.
• Maintain accurate records, photographs, measurements, and company equipment.
• Communicate professionally with builders, superintendents, and ATS team members.
• Work independently while following ATS quality and inspection standards.
• Participate in training for advancement into higher inspection tiers.

Construction or inspection experience is helpful, but not required.
Physical & Field Requirements
This is a field-based position requiring regular travel to active residential construction sites. The role may involve extended periods of standing and walking, uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, bending or kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs for inspections requiring specific equipment.
